What causes lithium batteries to explode?

The lithium in the negative electrode is not inserted into the negative electrode, which also causes lithium to precipitate on the surface. When the voltage reaches above 4.5V, the electrolyte breaks down and produces a large amount of gas. Overcharging may cause dangerous situations such as liquid leakage, deformation, and fire.
