Classification of semiconductor batteries

Single crystal gallium arsenide battery
The theoretical Solar-cell efficiency of single crystal GaAs solar cells is 24%, and the actual efficiency is 18%. It can work at high temperatures and high light intensity, with higher radiation damage resistance than silicon solar cells, but the production of gallium is relatively small and the cost is high. Cascaded p-n junction solar cell is a p-n junction with multiple different band gap materials superimposed on a substrate. The top junction with large band gap is close to the illumination surface to absorb short wave light. Increasing the area of a single cell is beneficial for reducing the welding points of the solar array and improving its reliability.
Lithium-ion conductor battery
A substance with ionic conductivity. It is a fast ion conductor. It has the characteristics of high conductivity (greater than 102S · cm), low activation energy (less than 0.5eV), and the most negative electrode potential. Li3N with layered structure, Lisicon (Li14ZnGeO4) with skeleton structure and Solid solution based on LiTi2P3O12 have been more studied. However, inorganic lithium ion conductors have no practical value due to different conductivity, low decomposition voltage, and lack of resistance to metal lithium corrosion. Organic lithium ion conductors, such as the complex of polymer (such as polyoxyethylene) and alkali metal salt (such as LiCF3SO3), are found later, although their conductivity is lower than that of inorganic lithium ion conductors, they are easy to be processed into films, which make up for the lack of conductivity, and have good Viscoelasticity. They have been widely used as diaphragm materials for high-energy lithium batteries, and are used to manufacture high specific energy, large capacity batteries and high-temperature fuel cells.
