This is when there is no potential to charge the battery, the chemical reactions that occur at the two poles are as follows:

　　A; PbSO4+2H2O -2e - → PbO2+H2SO4+2H+;

　　B: PbSO4+2e - → Pb+SO42-;

　　It can be seen that after charging, PbO2 on board A becomes the positive electrode, and Pb on board B becomes the negative electrode. During discharge, the reactions between the two poles are as follows:
