  NMC 811 battery is characterized by high energy density. This comes from the nickel in the positive electrode, which can improve the activity of the material, thus increasing the energy density. In addition, high nickel content is also important for increasing capacity. Cobalt is also an active component, which can stabilize the layered structure of materials, thus increasing the discharge capacity of materials. Manganese plays a supporting role in the electrode and provides stability during charging and discharging. For example, the energy density of Grepow's NMC 811 battery is 275 Wh/Kg.

  Weight energy density refers to the energy released per unit mass, expressed in Wh/kg. 275Wh/kg means that a 1kg battery can release 275Wh of energy. For example, 275Wh is equivalent to 0.275kWh, which can light a 10w bulb in the home for 27.5 hours. This means that NMC 811 has more energy than batteries of the same quality.

  Having a high energy density is a major advantage because it reduces the weight of the battery, which is crucial for UAVs. Using the NMC 811 battery actually reduces the weight by 15%, thus increasing the running time by 30% and reducing the maintenance cost.

  The service life of NMC 811 battery is also very long, more than 600 times, as shown in the test diagram of NMC 811 battery and LCO battery. Both batteries are charged to 4.2V at the rate of 1C at the same time, and discharged to 3.0V at the rate of 5C. At the 500th cycle, the capacity retention rate of NMC 811 battery was 93%, higher than that of LCO battery.

  In addition, the dynamic voltage imbalance of NMC 811 battery is less than 100 mV, making NMC 811 more stable and safe. In our high temperature test, the NMC 811 battery did not swell after being stored at 60 ℃ for 30 days, and it can continue to be used normally.
