Lithium batteries are custom-made as a commonly used energy storage device and have a wide range of applications in electronics, transportation, and energy storage. If the temperature is too high or too low, it will lead to a decrease in battery capacity, power, lifespan, and other aspects. Therefore, temperature control must be carried out on the battery.
Normally, the working state of a battery changes with temperature. As the temperature increases, the chemical reactions in the electrolytic cell accelerate, resulting in an increase in the amount of charge and ion migration rate in the electrolytic cell, thereby increasing the capacity and output power of the electrolytic cell.
But if the temperature of the battery is too high, it will cause the battery to vaporize and expand, resulting in electrolyte leakage, battery damage, and other issues. At low temperatures, due to the slowing down of chemical reactions within the battery, the generated resistance increases and the rate of charge transfer slows down, resulting in a decrease in the battery's capacity and output power. In addition, if the temperature is too low, it can cause the battery to freeze and damage.
Therefore, to ensure the customized working state and service life of lithium batteries, temperature management must be carried out. Its control methods can be divided into two categories: internal and external. Adding heat dissipation fins to the battery enhances the insulation capacity of the battery casing, thereby achieving temperature control inside the battery. To control the external temperature, temperature sensors or battery heaters can be used.
Therefore, in practical applications, the customized temperature characteristics of lithium batteries have a significant impact on the performance of lithium batteries. With the advancement of technology and the innovation of customized production processes for lithium batteries, the temperature management technology for lithium batteries has been further improved. The implementation of this project is of great significance for improving the stability and stability of lithium-ion batteries, and promoting their widespread application.
